It's his job to make people laugh. But there's at least one person on "It's Showtime" this Friday who didn't find Ryan Bang's newest quip funny -- and that was Vice Ganda.

The comedian was noticeably shocked when Bang joked that he calls Calvin Abueva his "daddy," perhaps worried that this would further fuel rumors that he's dating the basketball star.

"Hoy baliw, s*** ulo ka. Ang pangit ng chika mo," Vice Ganda said, not unreasonably flustered.

For those who are not all that familiar with local showbiz, Bang fondly refers to Vice Ganda as his "mommy," so it's easy for fans to quickly put two and two together.

Couple that with last month's questions about his relationship with the Phoenix player -- he attended one of Abueva's games -- and Vice Ganda's panicked reaction was understandable.

Of course, it also didn't help that Vice Ganda's "It's Showtime" co-hosts had been teasing him over this since last week, egging him on to greet the player while they were on air.

Abueva has already clarified that their closeness was because they are old friends.

He even shared that the comedian is the ninong of his son, Deandre Calvin.

It remains unclear whether Abueva is currently single, as there was no report of him and his wife, whom he has four kids with, calling it quits.

There was talk, however, of their marriage being on the rocks earlier this year.
