Real-life couple Lovely Abella and Benj Manalo star as reel partners for the first time in My Love Will Make You Disappear.

Lovely shared in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN what it's like to act alongside her partner in a film.

"Actually, masaya pala talaga kasi mas nagtutulungan. Meron kayong na-apply ng mga bagay na nasasabi ng partner," she shared.

Benj added that aside from the comfort of already knowing each other, it also boosts your confidence, knowing that your special person is right there with you.

"Yung comfortability nandun. Pero at the same time, yung professionalism mas siguro tumataas. Kasi siyempre parang alam mong nandyan yung asawa mo. Gusto mo magpasikat sa asawa mo. Yung asawa mo gusto magpasikat sa'yo. Pero, andon pa rin sa parang kung ano yung kailangan ng director. So, it's very, ano, 'perfect' (that’s the) word. It's very surreal para sa aming dalawa na magawa namin ito together," Benj explained.

The dancer-turned-host-turned-actress also noted that when it comes to acting, they make sure to establish what needs to be done and set clear goals.

"Kasi talagang kapag ka kunyari bago kami pumunta ng set, talagang inaano namin yung sarili namin, sini-set namin na iba yung gagawin namin. Yung mood na need namin talaga," she explained.

Lovely and Ben got married in 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, Liam, in 2023.

Meanwhile, the couple shared that My Love Will Make You Disappear is not your ordinary romantic comedy.

"Marami po silang dapat abangan. As in, hindi lang kilig yung mapi-feel nila dito. Iba't ibang klase ‘yung genre talaga na mapapanood," Lovely mentioned.

The television and theater actor also assured moviegoers that the film offers much more than just the kilig.

"Hindi siya yung typical romcom na in-expect natin na masaya lang and everything. O kilig lang. It's something that I think all audience would really appreciate and would love kasi kami nga na nandun sa pelikula na sobrang na-enjoy namin. What more pa sila?” Benj shared.

In My Love Will Make You Disappear, Benj and Lovely play Richie and Jeng, a couple living in the same community as Kim Chiu's Sari and Paulo Avelino's Jolo.

The much-awaited KimPau starrer is set to be released on March 26 in cinemas nationwide, with international screenings also planned.
