MANILA - Actress Erich Gonzales broke down on Friday's episode of "Magandang Buhay" as she listened to the birthday message of Geralda Matsunaga, mother of her boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga.

Gonzales celebrated her birthday with her boyfriend on the morning talk show hosted by Karla Estrada, Melai Cantiveros and Jolina Magdangal.

The Portuguese message of Mommy Geralda was translated by Daniel in English.

"She's very happy that she's in our family... She prays to God every day that He will keep making her happy always, of course, together with us," Daniel said.

Touched by Mommy Geralda's message, Gonzales said: "Sabi ko nga, totoong tao ba ang mga ito? Grabe, sobrang bait (I told myself, are these people even real? They're so nice)."

"Talagang isa sila sa mga pinakamalaking blessing na ibinigay sa akin ng Diyos. Sobrang higit pa sa pamilya ang turing nila sa akin (They're one of the biggest blessings given to me by God. They treat me like family, or maybe even more)," she added.

Gonzales and Matsunaga are stars of top-rating daytime soap "Be My Lady," which airs before "It's Showtime."
