MANILA – Two “Miss Saigon” stars are set to appear together in a movie musical in the United States.

According to a report from Hollywood bible Variety, Eva Noblezada will headline her first feature film, “Yellow Rose,” along with Lea Salonga and country music star Dale Watson.

Directed by Diane Paragas, the upcoming movie tells the story of Rose, a 17-year-old Filipino-American girl who dreams of becoming a country music star.

Noblezada will play the role of Rose, while Salonga will portray the Fil-Am teen’s aunt.

Other stars of “Yellow Rose” include Liam Booth, Gustavo Gomez, Libby Villari, and Princess Punzalan.

“So grateful to be part of this amazing film,” Noblezada said in a Twitter post.

Salonga, for her part, said: “This is actually happening! (To be totally honest, Eva does most, if not all the heavy lifting. I’m just happy to be a small part of this effort!)”

Noblezada and Salonga played the lead role of Kim in “Miss Saigon” in 2014 and 1989, respectively.
