MANILA -- Sue Ramirez became emotional as she tried to explain her breakup with Joao Constancia of BoybandPH fame.

The actress was a guest on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" Wednesday where she was asked about her recent split, which she first confirmed in an interview with reporters around two weeks ago.

"Mahirap siyempre kasi nasanay ka na na nandiyan iyong tao," she said, revealing that she's still struggling to move on. She and Constancia were a couple for two years.

"Pero ang daming differences kasi. Marami kaming bagay na hindi napagkakasunduan. We really wanted it to work pero pag hindi po talaga, hindi po talaga eh," she added.

She did clarify that she and Constancia are still on speaking terms, telling her fans not put too much meaning if they see her talking with him, or if they like each other's post on social media.

"Maayos po ang naging usapan namin," she said.

Ramirez refused to reject the idea of them getting back together. Though for now, she said, her focus is on herself.

"Sa ngayon po unahin ko po muna iyong sarili ko. I have a tendency when I'm in a relationship --I'm really, really dedicated to it, ibinibigay ko buong-buo iyong sarili ko. ...Ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na inuna ko muna iyong sarili ko."

Ramirez was on the late night talk show to promote her new movie, "Cuddle Weather," an entry to this year's Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

It also stars RK Bagatsing under the direction of Rod Marmol.
