It was more than a year in the making but Kylie Padilla's baby boy, Alas Joaquin, has finally met his grandmother for the first time.

Padilla shared the sweet moment on Instagram this Thursday, sharing with fans a photo of her mother, Liezl Sicangco, who is based in Australia, lovingly playing with her son.

"I don't take for granted how lucky I am to still have my mom with me," she captioned. "Seeing her with Alas is like feeling safe. In her hands I know he will be alright, and that's all I could ever want."

She also funnily talked about her plans to have her mom teach her how to cook: "Walang biro. Para ready na talaga for another milestone in my adult life. Lol. Love you, ma. Thank you for today!"

In a previous interview with Pep, Padilla revealed that one of the first people she told about her pregnancy was her mother.

She admitted to have cried as she asked her about what to do, and she was told not to have an abortion.

Alas Joaquin is Padilla's son with actor Aljur Abrenica.
