MANILA – Guji Lorenzana and his wife Cheska Nolasco found love on Tinder.

This was the revelation made by Lorenzana himself in an interview with entertainnment site Push.

According to the singer-actor, he joined the popular app to meet new people after he and actress Kaye Abad broke up.

“After nag-break kami ni Kaye, 'yung mga pinsan ko sabi nila, ‘Heartbroken ka, mag-Tinder ka, bagong app ito sa Pilipinas.’ Sabi ko, sige, I’ll join Tinder. So, gumawa ako ng profile and siguro 'yung mga first swipe ko, ilang swipe lang, 'yung wife ko agad ang nakilala ko,” he shared.

Lorenzana said he already felt something for Nolasco even when they were just exchanging messages through the mobile app.

As the days went by, he finally found the courage to ask her out for their first date.

“Bumili ako ng ticket for ‘Wicked’ kasi that time nandito 'yung ‘Wicked’ play, 'yon yung first date namin. At first, ayaw niyang mag-date kasi sabi niya, ‘Wicked? Date agad?’ I don’t know how pero na-convince ko siya so nag-date kami. And then it turns out na okay pala kami,” he said.

An interior designer, Lorenzana’s wife had not been in a relationship for quite a while at that time.

“No boyfriend siya since she was 21 dahil sobrang concentrated siya sa work. No boyfriend siya for the longest time. So sabi din ng mga friends niya, mga sisters niya na mag-join din siya sa Tinder,” he said.

Lorenzana said he was just lucky that they crossed each other’s paths in cyberspace.

“For some reason, 'yung sa amin, success story talaga. When I joined, siyempre 'yung isip ko sa Tinder was the same–for good time lang, have fun, single na ako eh so maghahanap ako ng ibang girls don,” he said. “Very proud naman kami that we found love at Tinder.”

Lorenzana and Nolasco became a couple on April 21, 2014. They tied the knot in February 2016.
