She'll be turning a year older by the end of the month — and there's no doubt about what Sofia Andres' birthday wish will be.

This Friday, the actress shared the heartbreaking news that doctors have found a mass in the brain of her younger brother, Bryan, who has Down syndrome.

She posted on Instagram Live a photo of her brother's CT scan and wrote: "Stay strong buddy. I know that these times are the toughest right now, your battle is my war too."

They found out about the mass after Bryan was rushed to a hospital following a mild stroke. Tests showed that it was preventing Bryan from moving his right hand and jaw.

"I'm praying for the fast recovery and I hope you guys can help our angel. He needs your prayers and love," the "Bagani" star asked of her fans.

"He still can manage to smile and laugh when I visited him last night but I know that deep inside him he’s really in pain." This is hard for me and to our family. I trust you, God."

Andres is known to be very close with her brother.

She also considers Bryan a "blessing," and that she loves hearing him display his talents such as singing.
