DJ Jasmin, or Jasmin Basar, was a DJ of the ABS-CBN radio station for 10 years, and had considered her co-workers, family. It was also through MOR 101.9 when she first shared with long-time listeners, in February 2018, that she had been battling chronic kidney disease.

In an October 2018 interview, DJ Popoy and DJ Jasmin opened up about their friendship and radio tandem, with the latter saying that, if it happens that her health condition would result in her longer-term absences, she would be perfectly content with leaving her program to her partner.
