It appears actress Maricar de Mesa prefers maintaining a modicum of privacy as well as a low profile, as she welcomed her firstborn without much Internet fanfare.

On Tuesday, De Mesa reportedly had given birth via c-section to a healthy baby girl at a hospital in Taguig.

De Mesa has yet to share the news on social media, but that hasn't stopped one of the child's godmothers from spilling the news.

On Instagram, former actress Almira Muhlach posted a photo of De Mesa's baby, who was given the name Sky. "Ninang is so happy to meet you," Muhlach wrote.

De Mesa's newest post on Instagram, which she shared Wednesday, was a photo from her baby shower held over the past weekend, showing her still pregnant.

De Mesa first revealed her pregnancy last May.

She refused to identify the father, telling Pep that she will only reveal it once his partner arrives from the US.
