MANILA - "Pwede bang masaya na lang?" This was the statement of actor and restaurateur Marvin Agustin when asked about his wealth in a television interview.

Agustin, who appeared on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Thursday, instead said that his life has improved a lot, noting that he started with nothing.

"Alam mo Tito Boy, 'yung yaman naman relative. Siguro galing talaga ako sa wala, zero," he said.

Explaining why he asked such a question, TV host Boy Abunda said: "I asked because your story is inspiring."

Agustin co-owns several restaurants in the country including SumoSam, John and Yoko, Akira, Alqueria and Wolfgang Steakhouse.

The actor, who was previously known as the love team partner of Jolina Magdangal, said he is currently part of restaurant operations.

"Nag-aaral din ako ng culinary and other certificate courses because I feel I work best in the creative part of the business," he said.

Currently, Agustin is part of the superhero series "My Super D," which will air its final episode on July 15.
