Most Filipinos hate flooded roads.

But comedienne Ethel Gabison, more known for her stage name Ethel Booba, may just love seeing them, as it will no doubt remind her of the day she met her boyfriend, Jessie.

She shared their love story on "Magandang Buhay" this Tuesday, and she began her story by recalling the time she couldn't get back to her condominium unit because of flooding.

This led to her and her friend to wait for the flood to subside at a party, where she eventually bumped into Jessie. "Destiny" was the the word she used, adding: "Pinagtagpo talaga kami ng baha."

But unlike most fate-tied couples, their story didn't exactly start off at the right foot. She remembered that she was playfully flirting with her gay friend to make someone else jealous.

Enter Jessie who kept telling her that the guy's gay. Irritated because she already knew that, Gabison didn't really pay him much attention at first. But as the night wore on, she eventually allowed Jessie to take her home and they exchanged numbers.

She described Jessie as the caring type, who texted her really early the morning after to check if she had already eaten breakfast. "Hangga't hindi na niya ako pinakawalan," she said.

Asked about why he fell for Gabison quickly, Jessie said it felt nice to have someone take care of him. "Ang hirap nang ma-detach, parang gusto mo na siya laging kasama," he said.
