MANILA -- Actor JM de Guzman shared a clip of his "When I was Your Man" cover amid rumors of a growing romance between his ex-girlfriend Jessy Mendiola and TV host Luis Manzano.

De Guzman and Mendiola broke up for the second time in 2015. This, after realizing that they were growing apart because of "different priorities."

Although the 27-year-old actor denied speculations that he got "depressed" after their breakup, he admitted that he was "loosing control" over himself.

He eventually “disappeared” from the limelight, and his character on the noon-time series “All Of Me” was then removed from the plot.

At that time, De Guzman began posting cryptic messages and photos on Instagram. In one particular post, he even dared his father, Ronniel de Guzman: "Are you going to send me to rehab again?"

While De Guzman’s showbiz career was hitting a low point, Mendiola continued to flourish as an actress.

In no time, Mendiola was given a lead role on the hit prime time series “You’re My Home,” which features the popular tandem of Dawn Zulueta and Richard Gomez.

She also became a regular cast of the comedy show “Banana Sundae.”

She even joined the roster of young stars rumored to be the next Pinoy superheroine Darna.

And on Thursday (June 30), Mendiola was hailed as the country’s “sexiest woman” by a popular men’s magazine. Alongside this fame are rumors that she has started dating Manzano, the ex-boyfriend of former "Darna" Angel Locsin.

Mendiola and Manzano have been frequently seen together, thus, fueling speculations that they are currently dating.

Mendiola, however, claims that having a boyfriend is not her priority. She described Manzano as a friend who has always been there for her.

But when asked if the TV host has a chance with her, she said: “Oo naman. I am not denying anything. Ayaw ko naman maging sobrang pretentious na wala. Meron kasi, ‘di ba? As I’ve said, Luis is a good guy. Any girl would be lucky to have him kaya siguro Lucky ang pangalan niya.”

On his recent Instagram posts, De Guzman is seen spending more time with his family and guitar. He also spends time covering songs, which are mostly about heart break.
