<p>MANILA — After turning a viral video meant to ridicule her into an <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/05/21/20/kim-chius-bawal-lumabas-records-over-10m-views-in-one-day">actual music hit</a>, Kim Chiu is launching merchandise based on the #BawalLumabas meme to help raise funds for coronavirus mass testing in the Philippines.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" viral video.</p><p>&quot;Bawal lumabas&quot; is depicted with a home meant to protect against the pandemic, as well as a heart shape containing enriching activities while staying home. &quot;Law of classroom&quot; is also used in another design, with an actual classroom setting shown.</p><p>Chiu credited <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/05/19/20/bawallumabas-kim-chiu-follows-letter-senders-suggestion-collaborates-with-dj-squammy">Adrian Crisanto</a>, the marketing professional behind the Chiu announced that its proceeds will be donated to efforts to carry out COVID-19 mass testing — specifically the project launched by fellow actress <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/05/19/20/angel-anne-bea-among-stars-behind-fundraiser-to-aid-covid-19-mass-testing">Angel Locsin</a> — and to produce food packs for vulnerable communities.</p><p>Orders can be made through the @bawallumabas_merch, Chiu said. All the shirts are priced P295.</p><p>The merchandise marks the latest triumph for Chiu stemming from what she once described as &quot;one of the lowest points&quot; of her life, following the release of #BawalLumabas as an official record which spawned another wave of viral dance and music covers.</p>
