Top K-pop act BTS performed live for the first time their new single at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, where they also bagged anew the fan-voted Top Social Artist award.

Fans present at the awards ceremony, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, cheered and sang along to the seven-member boy group's new song "Fake Love," which dropped last Friday alongside their third Korean studio album "Love Yourself: Tear."

BTS also took home the Top Social Artist award for the second year in a row, besting the likes of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

According to Billboard, the Top Social Artist honors an act that "perennially occupies the top slots on Billboard's Social 50 chart, a ranking driven by fan engagement on social platforms."

BTS made history last year as the first K-pop act to be nominated and win an award at the Billboard Music Awards, breaking Bieber's six-year winning streak of the Top Social Artist award.

On their Twitter account, BTS also posted and re-tweeted photos of them with other personalities at the awards ceremony such as DJ Khaled, Taylor Swift, John Legend and Tyra Banks.

"Love Yourself: Tear," is the second installment to the group's "Love Yourself" series, following the 2017 extended play "Love Yourself: Her."

The album explores themes relating to the pains and sorrows of separation.
