MANILA — Crew members and co-stars of Coco Martin answered point-by-point accusations against the star of "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano," attesting to his good character on and beyond the set.

Dozens of members behind the primetime series belied the allegations of a former ABS-CBN cameraman, who in his video, criticized Martin over his attitude supposedly as told to him by those who have worked with the actor.

The individuals who came together to defend Martin pointed out that, for one, the former cameraman did not even experience firsthand his allegations.

Numerous times in his video, the accuser mentioned "kuwento" as his basis for censuring Martin.

Among the allegations were that Martin would say hurtful words to stuntmen. On the contrary, several crew members stressed that Martin, who is also a director and creative head of "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano," fosters camaraderie on set.

In fact, Martin regularly joins crew members during meals, and has formed close relationships with them, they said.

"Harutan," or playful antics, have also long been a norm for some staff members plus Martin. They brought this up in response to the allegation that Martin douses water on workers. In truth, the splashing of water on set has been a running prank among them, with Martin even being the target numerous times.

That they can joke around with Martin to that extent only attests to his warmth and kindness towards his co-workers, they said.

The former cameraman also attacked Martin over his #LabanKapamilya speech protesting the government closure of ABS-CBN.

Martin's co-workers, in their own video, expressed support for the actor, who they said was only driven by compassion for those whose livelihood have been affected by the shutdown.

In the end of the nearly 10-minute video, several more co-workers of Martin attested to his good heart, as they shared his deeds to help them over the years, including paying for hospitalizations, providing scholarships, and giving livelihood opportunities outside the set.
