MANILA -- He not only has a great voice, which earned him a place in finals of the "champions" season of "America's Got Talent" early this year, but apparently Marcelito Pomoy also has a heart of gold.

Last week, the singer, known for his "doble kara" act, uploaded a vlog on YouTube showing how he built a house for a random old woman, whose story he came across with via only a Facebook post.

Pomoy, who admittedly knows what it felt to have nothing, having grown up poor, was seen personally meeting Nanay Aurora in the clip.

He explained that Nanay Aurora "has no family and all she has is a small house." He described the old house as no bigger than a restroom.

Wanting to spread cheer, especially during the pandemic, Pomoy, while wearing a mask, hired workers to build Nanay Aurora a new home. He even furnished it with a bed, basic kitchen appliances and tableware, and some other useful household items.
