Following the separation of Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad as a "love team," the onscreen tandem of contemporaries Jairus Aquino and Sharlene San Pedro has also come to an end. This was revealed by Aquino, 19, in an interview with ABS-CBN entertainment news site Push published Friday.

Dubbed "JaiLene," Aquino's team-up with San Pedro started in 2013 when they both joined the teen-oriented series "Luv U," which ran for three years. They were paired anew in a number of Kapamilya series, most recently "Langit Lupa" in 2016. That same year, they both joined music channel MYX as VJs.

Aquino, who was last seen on television in a 2017 episode of "Ipaglaban Mo," was asked on the status of his "love team," in light of his break from showbiz.

Aquino added he no longer has communication with San Pedro.

The end of "JaiLene," or at least its confirmation, comes only weeks after Aguas similarly said his team-up with Ilacad would no longer continue. Interestingly, a vocal fanbase dubbed "NashLene" has long been pushing for the pairing of Aguas and San Pedro, who were competitors in a talent search and subsequently became kiddie partners onscreen.
