MANILA – JM de Guzman admitted that he and Jessy Mendiola haven’t had the chance to talk again since he made his showbiz comeback following years of rehabilitation.

“Wala lang pong opportunity,” the actor simply said when asked if they are not okay.

De Guzman, however, mentioned that they crossed each other’s paths one time at a restaurant.

“Pagdaan niya, nakaupo ako sa table tapos sabi nung mga friends ko, ‘Uy si Jessy tumingin dito sa table natin, nakita ka.’ Pagtingin ko, ‘Ah siya nga.’ Hindi nagtagpo 'yung [tingin] namin,” he narrated.

Nonetheless, de Guzman is happy for his former girlfriend who is now in a relationship with Luis Manzano.

“Opo. Masaya naman po ako doon. Basta kung saan po siya masaya,” he said.

Does he somehow blame their failed relationship for his drug problem?

“Hindi ko puwedeng sisisihin doon eh kasi lahat naman ng tao nagdadaan sa kahit anong problema,” he said.

“Isinisisi ko lahat ng nangyari sa maling choices na ginawa ko to deal with my problems,” de Guzman added.

Currently, de Guzman is busy working on his comeback series “Araw Gabi” also starring Barbie Imperial. It will start airing on ABS-CBN on April 30.
