MANILA – The Philippine tour of the American pop quartet 98 Degrees has only been postponed and was not cancelled.

Concert organizer Big Hit Events made announcement on its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

In a statement, Big Hit Events said the COVID-19 global pandemic “has caused the postponement of most group events worldwide through the remainder of 2020 following the guidance of government agencies regarding public events as a precaution to protect everyone.”

“We apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to seeing 98 Degrees as much as we were, but the general welfare of everyone is now at the forefront,” it added.

No announcement was made yet on when 98 Degrees will reschedule their Philippine tour.

Nonetheless, the organizer assured that all purchased tickets for their shows here will be honored on the new dates.

Composed of Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre, the group rose to fame in the late 1990s with hits such as “Invisible Man,” “I Do,” and “Because of You,” to name a few.
