MANILA – Expect to see KC Concepcion hosting and acting again on TV as she is set to renew her contract with ABS-CBN.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Concepcion announced that she will be signing a two-year deal with the Kapamilya network.

“Once that’s done, I’m going back to hosting and to drama also. They are just finalizing the contract with Viva so it’s going to be a wild ride. Siyempre mainstream work ko iyon, showbiz work ko,” she said.

Asked if the contract involves movies, the actress just smiled and said: “I don’t want to talk about something that’s not confirmed yet kasi ayaw ko ma-preempt.”

While hinting of doing “big things” this year, Concepcion refused to comment on speculations that she is among the actresses being eyed to play the superhero Darna.

Meanwhile, Concepcion said she is also open to working with ex-boyfriend Piolo Pascual.

“Piolo and I are okay. I think that if there’s a project, we would have to talk about it and, of course, dapat pareho kaming 100% kasi ang hirap na hindi dahil unfair din naman iyon sa mga manonood. Makikita din sa camera iyon,” she explained.

“Right now, I just want to focus on the things na nakakapagpa-happy sa akin, the things that I want to do right now. If the Piolo project comes, then we’ll see. But I have to feel that, even he is 100% in it,” she added.

Concepcion, however, immediately rejected the possibility of working with her mother Sharon Cuneta.

“Ayaw ko. Kasi kinakabahan ako kasi siyempre parang too close for comfort. Para na kasi kaming reality show. Parang pinapanood na 'yung life namin,” she said.

Concepcion added that Cuneta knows this.

“Sabi ko, ‘Ma, hindi ko kayang umarte sa harap mo.’ Sabi niya, ‘Ano ka ba, para kang loko-loko.’ Gusto ko talaga but nahihiya ako kay mama. I will learn so much from my mom, I’m sure. Pero makiki-sit in na lang ako sa mga shooting niya to learn her ways,” she said.
