It recently introduced a host of new characters, but it's clear that "Ang Probinsyano" wasn't done featuring new faces as it welcomed Jessy Mendiola on Tuesday.

The actress, whose last teleserye concluded two years ago, appeared as a medical doctor who helped tend to the wounds of some of Cardo's (Coco Martin) allies.

It is her first appearance on a television drama since a 2016 episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya," where she played a pole dancer.

She's the fifth new character to be introduced in "Ang Probinsyano" this month, following those of Mark Anthony Fernandez, Dawn Zulueta, Rowell Santiago, and Edu Manzano.

Her role in the latest episode was limited to just treating the wounded men. She has yet to share a scene with Martin.

The rest of the episode was Cardo's group of rebels figuring out how to move forward after being attacked by Alakdan (Jhong Hilario). Leon (Lito Lapid), their leader, was thought to have been killed but was revealed to have survived several gunshot wounds.
