MANILA -- Roxanne Barcelo admitted that she was nervous about her first iWant series "Fluid," which requires her to engage in a same-sex kissing scene.

Directed by Benedict Mique, "Fluid," which premieres on Friday, March 13, follows the story of Mitch (Barcelo) who comes to terms with her sexuality as she is forced to choose between an ex-boyfriend (Joross Gamboa) and a confident lesbian (beauty queen Ann Colis).

"First time ko talaga to do a role like this and sobra siyang challenging even before saying yes to the project. As in from the start to finish I was really on my toes the whole time. More than kaba it's more of unsure ako like paano ba ito, ano ito. Ang dami kong tanong kay direk even before starting this project. Thank goodness na it's with direk Benedict," Barcelo said.

Asked of how she felt kissing a girl, Barcelo said: "Sobrang nanibago talaga. Aware naman kayo sa preference ko but at the same time I really said to myself na 'yung ako ay tanggal dito."

But apart from that, Barcelo said she is excited about the series, which also stars Janice de Belen, Al Tantay, Zar Donato, J-Mee Kantayag and Emmanuelle Vera.

"Masaya ang mga eksena sa totoo lang. Lalo na 'yung barkadahan scenes at conflict with pamilya. At the end of the day 'yung conflict sometimes shouldn't cause conflict. So, makikita mo 'yung inner battles ng isang Mitch kung paano niya mae-explore ang isang side na never pa niyang na-explore," Barcelo said.

Director Mique added: "It's a very exciting series, nakakatuwa siya, nakakaiyak, nakaka-in love. Ang maganda dito there's a family aspect. I think parents and children should watch it because marami silang matutunan. Basically the film is about acceptance. So magandang message 'yan for everyone."
