JK Labajo, the former "The Voice Kids" contestant who is trying to establish a new rock star image, was recently caught swearing in front of a large rock music festival crowd.

People know about this because videos of it were everywhere on Facebook this past week --the amount of attention it got was surprising considering that rock concerts aren't usually associated with being prim and proper.

It's also rather unremarkable because the disrespectful person had it coming as she was the one who was pestering Labajo with her annoying shrills about how much she loves Darren Espanto, all just to mess with him while he was onstage.

Still though, this propelled a number of virtue signallers to call out Labajo, who is 18, for giving in to his emotions during the moment and "setting a bad example" for his young fans.

The "Buwan" hitmaker is having none of that.

"Bakit kapag si *insert sikat na girl artista* ay nagmura, sinasabi ng tao ang cute? Hindi nila sinasabi na unprofessional and all?"

"Pero yung tipong kapag ako ang nagmura ang dami-daming sinasabi --lumaki na ang ulo, nagbago na, mayabang na, etc." Unfair man," he said, edited for clarity.

This supposed double standard irked Labajo, who wrote, as seen in screenshots from the singer's Instagram account republished by Push, about how people love moralizing incidents like these.

"Filipinos are afraid to appreciate transparency from true artists," he claimed. "Heck even listen and pay for true artists. I'm not saying all Filipinos, of course, but you know what I mean."

"They can't stop loving that sugar coated pretentious angels they see on TV. 'Ugh what an amazing human being so kind.'"

He ended his response to all the criticisms he got by announcing that he has deleted his Facebook and Twitter accounts, opting to maintain his social media presence by sticking to Instagram.

He also thanked those who continually support his brand of music, and asks them to keep an open mind.

Labajo did not mention who he was referring to when he said "sikat na girl artista."

The incident happened at the Rakrakan Festival 2019 over the past weekend, and it was because of a person who rudely brought up the social media back-and-forth Labajo had with Espanto back in October last year.

Labajo accused Espanto of being gay in a tweet, which he claimed was only posted on his Twitter account because he was hacked.
