MANILA — Viva Films on Monday released the first trailer of “A Hard Day,” the Philippine adaptation of the 2014 action thriller from South Korea.
Dingdong Dantes and John Arcilla star in the remake directed by Law Fajardo.
“A Hard Day,” as in the original, follows a detective who accidentally kills a man in a road crash, complicating an already challenging day that involves the funeral of his mother and a tiff with a fellow cop.
“A Hard Day” is scheduled for a nationwide release on April 11, as one of the eight main entries in the first-ever Metro Manila Summer Film Festival.

“A Hard Day” is the latest Philippine adaptation of a South Korean film produced by Viva, following the success of “Miss Granny” and “Miracle in Cell No. 7”.
