MANILA -- “Vince & Kath & James” stars Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto are taking their blockbuster tandem to the country's longest-running drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya" on Saturday.

The young stars will play teen sweethearts John (Garcia) and Aika (Barretto) who learn the value of unconditional love at a young age after Aika was diagnosed with leukemia.

This is a perfect preparation for their next movie, which will soon be announced.

According to Star Cinema, “Vince & Kath & James,” which also starred Ronnie Alonte, earned P123 million worldwide during its entire theatrical run.

Apart from Garcia and Barretto, this "MMK" episode also stars Allen Dizon, Nikki Gonzales, Devon Seron, Pamu Pamurada, Anjo Damiles, Kyra Custodia, Mikee Agustin, Lilet Esteban, and Raine Salamante.

It is directed by Dado Lumibao and written by Benson Logronio and Arah Jell Badayos.

Meanwhile, netizens took to Twitter to express their excitement to watch the tandem of Garcia and Barretto again.

"MMK" airs Saturdays after "Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids."
