MANILA -- Ronnie Alonte revealed Friday that he now has no plans of letting go of his relationship with Loisa Andalio again, after opening up about the time he nearly gave it up.

In his interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda," Alonte revealed that he and Andalio did break up at one point, telling himself "ayaw ko na" because of the all the stress that came with their relationship.

The young actor was coy about the details, although he said that he had no intention of getting back together until he realized how much he does love Andalio with the help of their supporters.

"Bumalik sa utak ko, 'Oo nga no. Hindi ako sanay nang wala siya sa tabi ko lagi, hindi na ako sanay nang wala siya," he said.

Turning emotional, he added: "Tanggap ko na. Wala man mapunta sa akin eh maibigay ko lang iyong pagmamahal na gusto niya -- huwag niya lang akong iwan at gagawin ko ang lahat."

Rumors of Alonte and Andalio, who first revealed their relationship back in 2018, breaking up began early last year. Since then, they have patched things up and have worked on a new movie, "James & Pat & Dave," set to come out this Wednesday.

According to Alonte, the biggest lesson he learned from their split is to accept your partner's flaws.

"Kailangan tanggap mo siya --kung ano man siya, ano man ang pagkatao niya, ano man ang mangyari," he said.

Alonte was on the late night talk show to promote "James & Pat & Dave," a sequel to the 2016 blockbuster "Vince & Kath & James."

It sees him reprise his titular role, alongside Andalio as Pat, and newcomer Donny Pangilinan as Dave.

The trailer for it showed James being sent to a rural area by his mother to "straighten" his life, taking on a temporary job at a resort where he meets Pat, a co-worker.
