MANILA -- "Jiro, tuloy-tuloy na ito ha, sasakalin na kita! I feel so happy, at least wala siyang relapse or anything kasi sa experience ko noon nagkaroon siya ng relapse sana ngayon wala na at tuloy-tuloy na siya sa pagbabago."

This was the message of multi-awarded movie director Maryo J. de los Reyes to former child star Jiro Manio, who has been released from rehabilitation.

In an interview with Pep, Manio said he is now "healed" and wants to return to acting.

Meanwhile, de los Reyes said in an interview with Push that he has not yet talked with Manio.

"Not yet hindi pa kami nagkakausap. I’ve had my chance na alagaan siya so ipinapasa ko ngayon ang pagkakataon kay Ai-Ai [delas Alas] kasi motherly 'yon eh. Kami ni Jiro, it’s more on actor and director at naging anak-anakan ko na rin. Mas maraming tao na tutulong mas mabuti," he said.

According to him, his doors are open if the 23-year-old actor decides to work in movies again.

Manio and de los Reyes worked together in the award-winning 2003 film "Magnifico."

"Kung available siya for casting at available na siya bakit hindi? Magaling siyang aktor. 'Magnifico' is magnifico. It’s a landmark sa kanyang career," he added.
