MANILA – Aiko Melendez finally opened up about the current state of her heart three months since her friends Ogie Diaz and Candy Pangilinan announced that she is dating someone special.

Speaking on “Magandang Buhay” on Friday, Melendez said she and her special someone, whom she refused to identify, were still in the process of getting to know each other.

“I have someone special now. We are dating. We are getting to know each other. We are enjoying each other’s company. Like I’ve said, you find love and let love find you. This time around, because hindi ko nga siya hinanap at kusang dumating, ang sarap sa pakiramdam,” she said.

Before her special someone came, Melendez admitted that she was praying to God for the right one to come.

“Ito kasi, hindi ko ito hinanap. Pinagdasal ko. Sabi ko, ‘Lord quota na ako sa sakit. Puwede bang magbigay kayo ng isang tao na mas mamahalin ako kaysa sa mamahalin ko siya at yung matatanggap ng anak ko at may takot sayo na hindi siya gagawa ng anuman na makakasakit sa kapwa niya?’ After ilang months, ito ibinigay na sa akin,” she shared.

With everything that has happened in her life, Melendez was asked what her most important realization was.

“Napakaimportante when you pray for the one, when you put Jesus Christ in the center of your relationship. Because if you put God, everything follows,” she said.

Melendez’s last boyfriend was Iranian Shahin Alimirzapour.
