MANILA – Mccoy de Leon clarified that he and Miles Ocampo were never in a relationship.

The actor made this statement on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday while he was promoting his latest movie “Block Z” with co-stars Joshua Garcia and Yves Flores.

“Hindi po talaga [naging kami] Tito Boy,” he said. “Pero nag-stay naman kami as magkakilala.”

But did he court Ocampo?

“Konti lang Tito Boy. Nag-try ako konti lang,” he quipped “Siguro Tito Boy, ito na rin 'yung God’s plan sa akin na hindi mo kailangan pilitin makipagrelasyon or something.”

In November, Ocampo said she and de Leon never really went out on dates but there was a time when they would constantly send each other text messages.

"Kasi nung na-interview ako kay Tito Boy, nagsabi ako na nagte-text kami. Akala ng mga tao kapag nagte-text ay mag-jowa na. Hindi naman po ganun, text, text lang. Wala po talaga. Text, text lang," she said.

At that time, Ocampo said she was enjoying her single life, adding that she does not want to rush anything.

"Choice ko po, nae-enjoy ko pa po ang sarili ko. I love myself so much," she said.

While the two never got together, actress Dimples Romana accidentally revealed during a prank call on MOR 101.9 that de Leon is currently "happy with his love life."

Before Romana was able to reveal further details, de Leon rushed to stop her from saying more, indicating that his romance wasn’t yet known to the public.
