MANILA - Back in 2014, comedian Vice Ganda was nearly brought to tears after German Moreno, more fondly known as "Kuya Germs," revealed in an episode of "Gandang Gabi Vice" that he will be given his own star in the country's Walk of Fame in Eastwood City.

"Artista na talaga ako. Natuwa talaga ako ng sobra," admitted the 39-year-old Vice Ganda. "Naiiyak naman ako diyan. Ang taray niyan, Kuya Germs. Hindi ko talaga aakalain kasi maingay na bakla lang ako sa eskuwelahan lang ako dati."

According to Moreno, Vice Ganda, who has several blockbusters films under his name, has already proven much and deserved to be placed alongside the ranks of local showbiz elite.

"Mayroon ka nang pinatunayan. Naluluha ako dahil nakita ko ang kagalakan mo na hindi mo aakalain," Moreno told the host. "Nagpaingay ka sa teatro dahil humahalaklak ang mga tao pag pinapanuod ang mga pekilula mo."

In the same episode, Moreno was also given a birthday surprise. Asked for his wish, the iconic host replied: "Unity."

Early Friday, Moreno passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was 82.
