"Ang Probinsyano" star Coco Martin said he was close to being overwhelmed with emotion as he saw the pictures of actress Julia Montes reuniting with her long-lost biological father.

Montes, whom Martin has been romantically linked with, finally met her German birth father last month with the help of friends and fans.

"Siyempre po napakasarap sa pakiramdam," Martin told Push. "Sabi ko nga parang nakita ko nga lang yung mga pictures doon sa Instagram parang naiiyak na ako kasi alam ko kung gaano kahalaga 'yun para sa kanya noong time na napagku-kwentuhan namin 'yun. Kaya happy ako para sa kanya."

Montes was quoted to have said that her life would be complete if she could only meet her father, who left her family when she was still a baby.

"Matagal ng pangarap ni Julia 'yun e. Talagang 'yun yung kulang sa buhay niya ang makilala ang father niya. Biruin niyo 21 years tapos never niya pang na-meet ang daddy niya. Finally nabalitaan namin through sa mga fans namin, sila gumawa ng way, sila ang humanap. Hanggang sa finally natupad yung pangarap niya."

Last December 27, Montes surprised many when she took to Instagram to share a photo of her and her biological dad, German national Martin Schnittka, sharing a hug. "Hindi ko aakalain na darating ang araw na ito na makikita at makakasama ko siya," she wrote as the caption.

And while the "Doble Kara" star did not go into specifics about the meet-up, it was reported that her father apologized to her for abandoning the family.

Days after, the two were photographed enjoying a quick vacation in Batangas.

Martin and Montes last worked together in the 2016 independent film "Padre de Familia." They have repeatedly remained tight-lipped when asked about the status of their relationship.
