Will justice prevail in the finale of “Dirty Linen”?

In an interview on Kapamilya Chat, young cast members Francine Diaz, Raven Rigor and Sean Tristan said they wish the series will have a “messy” and explosive ending, with Francine noting that radical forgiveness might be too unrealistic considering the amount of crime, hate, and drama that all characters have faced.

The young stars want something “realistic” to sustain the teleserye’s level of intensity.

The entire cast of Dirty Linen has served viewers a spectacle of drama at its finest. Francine would look back on her journey as Chiara Fiero. Many times she thought that she wasn’t good enough, let alone on par with the veterans in the cast. She would approach her friends on set, Raven and Sean included, expressing her frustrations about her performance.

“[Si Raven] ‘yung nakukuwentuhan ko. Sabi ko, ‘I feel like hindi ko nabibigyan ng hustisya si Chiara. What if maulit nang maulit ‘to na hindi ko nabibigay ‘yung one hundred percent ko.’ Ayaw kong masira ‘yung show just because ang pangit ng pagkaka-deliver ko sa character ko.”

But thanks to her friends’ positive feedback, somehow she feels validated. “Hearing lahat ng sinabi n’yo sa akin, thank you, guys,” she told Sean and Raven, who called her “amazing” and lauded her perseverance, hard work, and courage to portray such a multifaceted role.

She expressed further gratitude to her senior co-actors like John Arcilla and Janice de Belen, for their generosity in every scene.

Francine noted that Chiara has a complicated life, thus complicated emotions. But she loved every bit of the challenge. “Ano siya, paiba-iba. Galit ka, tapos tatawa ka sa next. Tapos iiyak ka, tapos ‘yung isa masaya ka.

And through Chiara, she learned the power in choosing what is right and the beauty of opening up to other people.

Kung sisirain nila ‘yun, sila na ‘yung may kasalanan,” she mused, adding that Chiara is aloof, for she feels like nobodytruly loves her apart from her dad and brother.

At their age, Francine, Raven, and Sean have earned broad knowledge about acting. They know that as actors, they must root for their characters however evil the story paints them. Raven’s character, Clint, might have come off as the annoying cousin/brother due to his temper driven by insecurities, but he empathizes with him, “Kung hindi siya gets ng ibang tao, gets ko siya.” He said that Clint’s behavior is rooted in his insecurity, seeing himself as a nobody in the family. He wishes to be like Aidan (Zanjoe Marudo) but his relatives look down on him for being a poor man's son.

Raven expressed gratitude for the opportunity to portray Clint.

“Nalulungkot ako kasi forever siyang memorable sa akin,” he mused, when asked his parting message to his character.

Sean is likewise thankful to his character, Ace, and to be part of Dirty Linen, his first-ever TV series. “I’m glad na I got a glimpse of what it’s like sa taping ng teleserye. Kahit minor siya, happy ako kasi I was part of this very great show talaga.” He continued, “May mga good times, may mga bad times.
