<a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/dirtylinen">Dirty Linen</a> offers viewers the best of both worlds in that it delivers pure dark drama with hints of comedy in some scenes, which is pretty uncommon in Pinoy teleseryes.It tackles serious issues like corruption and injustice, but at the same time, it’s injected with humor that serves as a breather from all the intense and disturbing scenes. In this Kapamilya Toplist, we look back on the funniest moments in the series.In the Fiero mansion, Manang Precious (Rubi Rubi) is the biggest source of hilarity because of her being ‘marites’ and ‘pabida.’ She had us wheezing with her ‘pasabog’ in one scene, wherein she let out an involuntary fart inside the vehicle with the Fieros, whose reactions were just as funny. In another instance, she asked Alexa/Mila (Janine Gutierrez) whom she was talking to, to which the latter replied, “Kinakausap ko po ‘yung sarili ko. Try n’yo po minsan.”Doña Cielo (Tessie Tomas) might have been one of the most dangerous and cunning members of the Fiero clan, but she was also the sassiest in her manner of speaking. This one is for those addicted to online shopping: When she called out Feliz (Angel Aquino) for being too materialistic and wasteful with money, the latter claimed, “Ipon ko ‘yan. Tinitipid ko ‘yung kaunting binibigay ninyo sa asawa ko, to which Doña Cielo had a fiery response, “Matipid ka? Eh, ang dami kong nakikitang delivery para sa’yo. Hay naku! You can’t fool me. Hindi pa pinapanganak ang manloloko sa akin.”There’s always drama in the Fiero family but it’s Doña Cielo who gets them through the toughest times. When they argued whether or not to receive their Family of the Year Award in person, the matriarch preached, “Pupunta tayong lahat like one big happy family.” Aidan (Zanjoe Marudo) couldn’t help but react, “Ganito pala ang Family of the Year?” about the argument that just transpired.Carlos (John Arcilla) and Leona (Janice de Belen) have entries, too. Remember the scene where Leona contemplated about killing her husband by suffocating him with a pillow? Instead of murdering Carlos, she hit his face and told him that he was having a nightmare.“Team Resbak” is hell-bent on exacting revenge, but that doesn’t mean they lack sense of humor. As a matter of fact, their natural flair for comedy comes out at the right moment, giving them the advantage. For instance, Alexa charmed Aidan by performing a chant to catch his favorite chicken named Thunder. In another scene, set in school, Alexa got scolded by Chiara (Francine Diaz) for leaving her post to pee. She replied, “Sige, Ma’am, sa susunod magda-diaper po ako.”Nico (Seth Fedelin)’s conversations with his best friend Dennis (CJ Navato) aren’t all serious, either. In one scene, Dennis urged Nico to fight Clint (Raven Rigor)’s group, saying they shouldn’t allow anybody to look down on them because “mukha lang tayong mabaho pero yummy pa rin ‘yung datingan natin.”But, of course, the “funniest of them all” title belongs to the feisty and witty Lala (Jennica Garcia), whose quirky attitude breaks the tense mood in their headquarters. Her sparkling one-liners truly add a special flavor that makes the serye all the more enjoyable. From her facial reaction to her intonation, she hit the mark in one scene where she reported the presence of mysterious men whom she described as “mga borta.” By alerting the cops, their group managed to outsmart the henchmen ordered to hunt them down.She also has an amusing vocabulary. One morning, she made Max and Nico laugh with the special pancit and lumpia she ordered and which she called by fancy names, as in noodles with citrus and spring rolls.What about when Max disguised as one of the fighters in Leona’s Lioness Den? She reacted, “Sigurado ka ba? Baka akala mo pipitikin ka lang do’n?” In another scene, Max issued her a warning after she planned things by herself. Max warned, “Ako mismo magpoposas sa’yo sa kulungan ng manok.” But that didn’t sound like a threat to Lala, who seductively replied, “Gusto ko ‘yan” Posasan mo ako, daddy!”Weren’t you aching from laughter when Lemuel (JC Santos) visited her in jail and she didn’t hold back from showing her ‘kalog’ realness?
