The sultry-sweet ballad about moving on and healing from heartbreak Universal Records

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Angelina Cruz is set to release her newest single, “Ayoko Lang,” a sultry-sweet track in Filipino, about moving on and healing from heartbreak.

The 20-year-old recording artist, most recently known for her role as Iris in Love Is Color Blind alongside labelmates Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, has released singles and EPs in the past—most notably her self-titled release in 2018, a collaboration with Iñigo Pascual in 2017, and a cover of Orange & Lemons’ “Hanggang Kailan.”

This newest song, produced and composed by “Black Swan” hitmaker August Rigo (with Lady Gaga’s bandmate Ricky Tillo on guitar), is one step closer to the sound and genre that Angelina has always been working towards, she shared at an exclusive media conference this afternoon.

In the future, Angelina added, she hopes to continue working on her passion—music—and one day dreams to release a full-length album, as well. She even names Billie Eilish, Daniel Caesar, and Jhené Aiko as some of her favorite musical acts.

“Ayoko Lang” will also be accompanied by a music video starring Angelina herself, as well as her Love Is Color Blind co-star Jeremiah Lisbo. The music video will premiere on Sunday, February 13.

Catch “Ayoko Lang” out on all digital streaming platforms tonight at midnight, February 11, 2022.
