Despite this Korean drama airing back in 2016, Uncontrollably Fond is currently trending. No, it’s not because it’s getting a new season or remake but because its stars, Bae Suzy and Kim Woo Bin, are reuniting in a new series.

Uncontrollably Fond, a romance melodrama, broke so many viewers’ hearts. It is about a famous actor, Shin Joon Young (Kim Woo Bin), and a documentary producer, Noh Eul (Bae Suzy), who, during their teenage years, had a tough and painful split. The pair went on with their lives and as time passed, they learned how to tame the pain. But when they finally bumped into each other again, the sting emerged once more. We know how that ended!

So now, the fans of the two Hallyu stars are hopeful for them pairing anew because their new project, a fantasy rom-com, is definitely lighter from their previous series together.

The reunion project of Kim Woo Bin and Bae Suzy, the upcoming series All Your Wishes Will Come True, was confirmed by production company Hwa&Dam Pictures.

Its plot will revolve around an overly emotional genie (Kim Woo Bin) trapped inside a lamp and an emotionless woman (Bae Suzy) who helps him escape. Sounds like a classic with a modern twist!

It was also revealed that it will be written by Kim Eun Sook who is famous for having penned K-dramas like the recent The Glory, as well as well-loved titles like Lovers in Paris, Secret Garden, The Heirs (where Kim Woo Bin was also a cast member), Descendants of the Sun, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Mr. Sunshine, and The King: Eternal Monarch.

After a health-related hiatus in 2017, Kim Woo Bin returned to the scene in 2020 and had since starred in the film Alienoid and K-dramas Our Blues and Black Knight.

On the other hand, Bae Suzy’s recent K-dramas were Start-Up and Anna (for which she earned a Best Actress for TV nomination at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards).

We can’t wait for this!
