Great news for K-drama fans! The hit South Korean series Lovely Runner will finally be available on Netflix on August 1!

The time slip fantasy-romance series, based on the web novel Tomorrow's Best, stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon. The 16-episode series aired on tvN from April 8, 2024 to May 28, 2024.

In Lovely Runner, Byeon Woo Seok is Ryu Sun Jae, a former swimmer-turned-singer and actor whose fate leads to an untimely death. Kim Hye Yoon's Im Sol is an aspiring film director who becomes paralyzed after an accident; she is a fan of idol Ryu Sun Jae. In a twist of fate, Im Sol travels back in time and gets an opportunity to change their destinies.

Although it had relatively low viewership ratings, Lovely Runner proved to be a global hit and boosted the popularity of its actors. During his visit to Manila last month for his 'Summer Letter' fanmeeting, Byeon Woo Seok said that he's still adjusting to his sudden popularity. Lovely Runner is the first series that featured him in a lead role, and the reception to this project has been overwhelming to the point where he feels that everything in his day-to-day life now is a big surprise.
