After astonishing and captivating us with his portrayal of Bingo in <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/cantbuymelove">Can’t Buy Me Love</a>, Donny Pangilinan has remained busy with his other commitments. Yet, he’s still able to find time to play and have fun, as we’ve seen in his latest vlog, wherein he gave us a peek at what happened during one of his weekend escapades to Batangas with his barkada.He commenced the vlog by divulging that he was at their family rest house in Batangas together with his friends. It was supposedly a “boys’ trip,” but one of his female cousins, Kara, joined them. Although they just went for a dive the day before, which he regards as one of the best dives he has ever done in his life, their group decided to go on another session in search of jack fish.<div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="703" referrerPolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3F6ZEAcF130" title="A DAY IN BATANGAS | Donny Pangilinan" width="1250"></iframe></div>We may not usually see the part of him that is an animal advocate, but Donny is actually one, as he introduced their rescue dog, Shelly. According to him, Shelly was an abandoned dog that someone left at his gasoline station. So, their family decided to take care of it and bring it in Batangas, where it’s living “a very, very happy life” as their guard dog there.They didn’t just have one, but two diving sessions that day after learning from one of his friends, Kevin, that they witnessed in another diving spot a school of jacks, which Kara explained as “a tornado of thousands of fish swirling all around you.”They may have failed to see jacks on their second dive, yet it was still an amazing dive for Donny as they got to catch a sight of other sea creatures, as seen in the underwater footages that he embedded in this vlog. He and his friends ate lunch and went back to the beach house to take a rest. While everyone was napping, he busied himself by cleaning up and giving the viewers a semi-tour around “Casa Donato,” then went to sleep as well. As soon as he woke up, he and one of his friends decided to work out and go for a quick swim in the pool.While submerged in the pool, he imparted how he used to not have ample time to visit there during the run of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/cantbuymelove" target="_blank">Can’t Buy Me Love</a> since they had to shoot four to five times a week in the span of nine to 10 months. And as he’s been taking his well-deserved break, he said that he’ll start going there a bit more because he wants to be more hands-on with the continuous construction of his beach house, especially since he’s planning to have a recreational area, an open garden, or an event place there.Since there are still a lot of things that needed to be done, he told viewers that he still cannot heed their request of having a full tour of Casa Donato. However, he said that it may happen in time once everything’s already fine. He went on to disclose that his favorite part of the house is the spot where he can have a view of the islands and some of his favorite dive sites, while his Mommy Maricel Laxa loves one of the mango trees hovering over the pool.“This has been my project since pre-pandemic. But a lot of you may know I’m really, really a fan of the beach. I love being in areas where you could really see the ocean, feel the breeze, and just be close to nature. That’s why I think I chose to build a place here out of all places because ito na ‘yong pinaka getaway ko…coming back here is super refreshing,” he shared, adding that he actually looks forward to having his family and friends over and perhaps holding weekly bonding activities with them.They concluded that one particular day in Batangas by having dinner and playing table tennis afterwards, in which Donny won against one of his friends, RJ.“This is normally more or less what happens whenever I’m here in Batangas. We just do whatever comes into our mind, we’re very spontaneous. Well, I’m very spontaneous and I’m just glad that I get to spend it with people like my cousins and my friends,” he related, reiterating that he always looks forward to coming there in order to check out the progress of his prized property, as well as to go on adventure dives with his friends, which he loves to do so much.
