Jobseekers look for available jobs during the Marikina City Government's Job Fair 2024 held at the Marikina City Hall, April 27, 2024. A total of 28 private companies participated in the job fair. The event is open to all Filipinos 18 years old and up, high school graduate, college level, or college graduate. Maria Tan, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA — Some 8,000 jobs in Taiwan will be available for Filipinos in job fairs that will be held in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

In a statement, Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) chairman Silvestre Bello III said 17 manpower agencies and employers in Taiwan will be offering these 8,000 jobs in job fairs in Laoag and Vigan on September 9 and 11.

More specifically, these will be held in the Centennial Arena in Laoag City, and the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center along Quezon Avenue in Vigan.

The jobs are in the manufacturing sector. Bello said there will be no placement fees for job applicants.

Some of the participating companies are Grand Placement, FilSino, Everbest, City Employment, Sky Bourne, Jedegal, Bright Star, Jopman, EyeQuest, September Star, Tengllong, Workforce, World Trans, Gerdin, Mission Way, and food manufacturers IMEI Foods and Golden Brothers.

MECO said jobseekers must check the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) website for available jobs, and register online for the job fair for evaluation and pre-qualification for vacant positions.
