MANILA -- Tourists can get a free halo-halo from fast food chain Mang Inasal this September.

To get their free 8 oz. halo-halo, Filipino and foreign tourists must present a valid ID and e-ticket or boarding pass dated between September 1 and 27, then order either Chicken Inasal Paa or Pecho Large.

They can get their free halo-halo anytime from September 23 to 27.

In a statement, Mang Inasal said it is doing this to promote Philippine food tourism.

“Food connects people, and at Mang Inasal, we’re proud to be a part of that connection for tourists visiting the Philippines. We’re excited to share the flavors of the Philippines with the world,” said Mang Inasal president Mike Castro.

“Every bite of chicken inasal, every spoonful of halo-halo, connects tourists to the heart of our culture, making their travels more meaningful and unforgettable," he added.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is confident that it will be able to achieve its target of 7.7 million foreign tourist arrivals by the end of 2024, especially as the “-ber months” kick in.
