MANILA (UPDATE) -- Solaire operator Bloomberry Resorts Corporation confirmed that it is looking to build a new resort and casino in Ternate, Cavite.

In a disclosure to the stock exchange on Wednesday the company said it is in the process of completing the land acquisition in Paniman, Ternate, Cavite and developing the masterplan for the project.

"While the timeline has not been finalized, the Paniman development is definitely a project that the company is keen to develop and open in the next five to ten years.," Bloomberry disclosed.

The Enrique Razon-led was clarifying a report that said Razon is expected to open a new casino in Cavite in 2028.

In an earlier disclosure in 2022, the company said that it was buying 2.8 million square meters of land in the Paniman area to develop this into an integrated resort and entertainment complex with a casino, hotel, golf course, commercial, residential and mixed-use development.
