MANILA (UPDATE) — BDO said some of its services were down on Monday morning after it announced a scheduled system maintenance as it deactivated its old mobile app.

At 8:57 a.m. on Monday, BDO said its BDO Pay, BDO Online App, BDO Personal Online Banking, and BDO ATM services are still down, and that they are working to restore their services as soon as possible.

The bank earlier said the system maintenance will be from 11:30 p.m. August 18, Sunday to 7 a.m. August 19.

The Philippines' largest bank also reminded its customers that it will be deactivating its old BDO Digital Banking app on August 19.

At 8 p.m. Monday, BDO announced that it had restored the BDO Pay, BDO Online App, BDO Personal Online Banking, and BDO ATM services.

The bank said the prolonged system downtime was due to a vendor system issue during its planned maintenance to upgrade its online banking services.

"We understand the inconvenience and frustration this has caused, and we sincerely apologize for the disruption," the bank said.
