MANILA — Water concessionaire Maynilad on Tuesday said the service interruption in some barangays in Quezon City and Valenzuela is just part of their regular maintenance activities.

In a post on X, Maynilad announced temporary interruption in barangays Gulod and Santa Monica, both in the Novaliches area of Quezon City. Maynilad's Jennifer Rufo said this is part of regular maintenance activities and has little effect to customers.

(Our pipe network is massive, so we have to regularly do maintenance work to ensure the system is in good condition.)

Hindi sya daily," she added.

(These happen in various places and it doesn't happen daily.)

Rufo said maintenance activities are done at night to lessen the inconvenience for their customers.

Hardly any effect po," she added.

(We do these in the wee hours when our customers are asleep so when they wake up, water service is back.)
