MANILA -- Water concessionaire Manila Water has announced several service interruptions scheduled to give way to maintenance and repair works in some portions of Marikina, Quezon City and Mandaluyong City.

Water interruption will begin late on June 6 in parts of Marikina City, specifically along Champaca Street in Marikina Heights from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Manila Water is going to go zero pressure test for 6 hours.

In some parts of Quezon City, particularly in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Ramon Magsaysay, Industrial Valley Compound and E. Rodriguez, there will be a similar water interruption from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. of June 6 to 7.

Manila Water will conduct line maintenance work in these areas.

On June 7 to 8, there will be water interruption in parts of Mandaluyong particularly along Correctional Road in Barangay Addition Hills, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. due to fire hydrant relocation.

There will be a separate water interruption schedule from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on June 7 to 8 in parts of Barangay South Triangle and Culiat due to line maintenance and interconnection project.

On June 13 to 14, another water interruption schedule will occur from 10 p.m. 4 a.m. in Champaca 2 in Barangay Fortune due to line maintenance work.

Manila Water Spokesperson Dittie Galang said the company is making sure the interruptions happen during night time to reduce the impact on consumers.

Galang said that it is better to do the maintenance work now rather than wait for the lines to deteriorate that may create a bigger problem.
