Globe said in a release on the survey results that the findings present "how online piracy continues to rise in the Philippines," underscoring the need to "strengthen enforcement against such intellectual property violations."

Globe said the recent survey is the second-highest level of piracy consumption in the Asia Pacific region, "with the Philippines next only to Vietnam in the survey at 71 percent."

Globe stressed the need to ramp up efforts against piracy and expressed support for legislation to institutionalize site blocking.
