CAB administrative division OIC Clarabel Anne Lacsina explained lower world market prices for fuel has led Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to bring down fuel surcharges to Level 5 from 6.

Lacsina explained that under level 5 fuel surcharges, currently ranging from P185 to P665 for domestic flights, may go down to the P151 to P542 range.

“Ang total domestic passengers natin ngayon ay nasa 7.4 million na siya at ang international naman ay nasa 6.9 million kumpara po noong 2023 ng first quarter din po. So, patuloy po na sana po makikita pa tayo nang patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng ating mga pasahero lalo na po na bumaba ang ating fuel surcharge na nagta-transmit na ng lower fares po,” she said.
