MANILA - Online design platform Canva announced it is making a big push into the enterprise market as the company marks its second decade this year.

Canva will also offer its recently-acquired graphics suite Affinity “for free” to schools and non-profit groups as part of the platform’s suite of services.

During an online briefing with tech journalists, Canva co-founder and COO Cliff Obrecht said the the platform is trusted by over 90 percent of the Fortune 500 companies across the globe.

“And we're kind of defying the law of gravity at this stage of Canva where normally companies of our scale start to decline in growth, Canva’s growth is actually accelerating, which is a very exciting position to be in,” Obrecht said.

Melanie Perkins, co-founder and CEO of Canva, said the company is introducing a suite of new products with Canva Enterprise that aims to unify different design systems for large organizations.

“As demand for visual content soars, navigating organizational complexity is more challenging than ever. We democratized the design ecosystem in our first decade and now look forward to unifying the fragmented ecosystems of design, AI, and workflow tools for every organization in our second decade,” said Perkins in a statement.

The company said that with Canva Enterprise, large organizations can create large quantities of visual content and scale internal collaboration with ease.

“This is a complete workspace where enterprises can really come in and scale their on-brand visual content and do that at a scale you've never seen before,” Obrecht said.

Canva said its user interface also promises to speed up workflows and harness focus.

“In order to redesign work. We figured we needed to redesign Canva and we have given Canva a massive glow up which has thought about the experience from the ground up and tailor it for what people in workplaces really need,” said Cameron Adams, Canva co-founder and chief product officer.

A new set of tools have also been customized for the needs of Marketing, HR, Sales, and Creative departments .

“So essentially this means you can manage an organization of 20 up to 200,000 with multiple different brands and multiple different needs, and harness that creativity and achieve more goals with less friction with this new enterprise SKU,” Obrecht added.

The company also said its recent purchase of Affinity makes the platform a full-stack solution for all designers, including professional graphic designers, illustrators and typographers.

“And then of course, Affinity, which we're extraordinarily excited about bringing to the world and particularly students, teachers and nonprofits,” Perkins said.
