Tacloban airport repairs cause flight cancellations

MANILA -- Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines (PAL) have cancelled some flights because of emergency runway repairs at the Tacloban Airport.

In a statement, PAL said the following flights were cancelled:

2P2987/2988 MNL-TAC-MNL

2P4985/4986 MNL-TAC-MNL

2P2238/2239MNL-TAC-MNL

Cebu Pacific, meanwhile, cancelled the following flights:

5J 651/652: Manila – Tacloban – Manila 

5J 653/654: Manila – Tacloban – Manila 

5J 655/656: Manila – Tacloban – Manila

5J 659/660: Manila – Tacloban – Manila

Both airlines said affected passengers can get refunds on their tickets, or convert their tickets into travel credits.

PAL said travelers can also book another flight within the next 60 days in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.

Cebu Pacific is also giving its passengers a chance to rebook their flights for free for travel up to 30 days from original flight date.
