UnionBank acquired Citi's consumer banking in the Philippines back in August 2022.

On Thursday, UnionBank said Citi's online app and website will be shut down at 7 p.m. on March 22, Friday.

Citi Philippines also said their Facebook account will no longer be active starting March 25.

Likewise, BDO said Citibank will no longer be listed as a biller in all their channels starting March 22.

This means payments to Citibank will be rejected even though its name still appears in the list of ATM and point-of-sale (POS) terminal menus.

BDO said those who need to pay for their Citi credit card or personal loan dues can do so by selecting Union Bank of the Philippines as their biller.
