MANILA -- Citi's online app and website are closing after UnionBank of the Philippines said it has completed the acquisition of Citi's consumer banking business in the country. 

On its website, Citi said users will no longer be able to log in to Citibank online and their Citi mobile app starting 7 p.m. on March 22.

The bank encouraged its customers to download the UB online app and create their UnionBank online profile so they can still access their accounts.

Citi Philippines also said their Facebook account will no longer be active starting March 25.

Citibank Online Secured Message was deactivated last March 15, while the online live chat will also close on March 22 at 7 p.m.

UnionBank completed the acquisition of Citi's consumer banking business in 2022.
